DESCRIPTION
Gorgeous vintage “Papa Bear” chair designed by the famous Danish architect and furniture maker Hans J. Wegner for A.P. Stolen in Denmark, circa 1950s. This iconic chair, originally known as the AP-19, earned the nickname "Papa Bear" thanks to a journalist who claimed that the chair looked like a bear hugging the sitter from behind. The chair features handcrafted teak paws, solid oak legs, and a beautifully crafted wingback design with tufted buttons. Its seat is gently curved and angled downward, providing a comfortable and relaxed sitting experience. Our skilled craftsmen have expertly restored this Danish chair, restoring it to its original specifications. The chair has been reupholstered in luxurious Italian black leather that will develop a beautiful patina over time.
