DESCRIPTION
Exceptional vintage executive walnut desk designed by Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller in the United States, circa 1940s. This desk represents in a significant way the expression of the art deco movement through its elaborate construction lines and the elegant combination of materials used for its construction. The desk has been built from the highest quality walnut wood, offering a unique contrast full of colors and figures throughout the entire structure. On the front face of the desk, in the lower part, there are three drawers and a file drawer, which have spherical aluminum handles that adapt perfectly to the drawers. Above these drawers are two writing surfaces at the ends of the desk, and in the center are three other small drawers, which have divisions that will allow you to organize all the office supplies you need. On the back of the desk, there are also two additional writing surfaces with spherical walnut handles, which will be very useful for working with two or more people. The desk rests on two solid bases in the form of a pedestal covered in black leather, in which you can appreciate the natural patina of the leather due to the years of the antiquity of the furniture. It is important to mention that the desk still has the original manufacturing plate. Due to its versatility, design, and history, this desk will become your ideal place to work or study.
